The Brush Hour Pet Grooming is a heart-led grooming studio based on Archway Road in Highgate, inspired by my English Cocker Spaniel Jenny, whose companionship turned a simple grooming routine into a true vocation. After 15 years in luxury hospitality, I found my real calling in grooming : creating calm, trusting experiences where dogs feel understood, never rushed, and cared for and at ease.
Every session is more than a full groom, it is a gentle genuine connection built on patience, kindness, and a belief that wellbeing must come first. That is the heart of The Brush Hour - and it is what gives Our Golden Hour its meaning.

A heartwarming connection
One moment that stayed with us was grooming Winnie, an elderly, nervous dog who had struggled with previous grooming experiences. With trust, patience, no force, we achieved a successful groom without needing to muzzle him, leaving both Winnie and his owner happy and relieved. Moments like that are the reason why this work matters so deeply, and why trust, patience and calm handling are always at the centre of what we do.
